Colton Lawrence is the writer/director/producer of The Sex Movie, his first feature film and a departure from his work as a children’s book author.
Lawrence wrote a five-book series in the voice of wholesome 12-year-old Camy Baker that was published by Bantam Doubleday Dell Books for Young Readers. The series sold close to 500k copies and was praised for its lively and honest narrator who guided girls through titles such as How To Be Popular In the Sixth Grade and It Must Be Love.
Lawrence’s latest book Big Fat Paycheck: A Young Person’s Guide to Writing for the Movies was published by Random House and received a nomination for a Disney Adventures award for best hands on title.
